Trying to Decide Between a Few Different Studios? Since opening our doors in 1978, over 10,000 students have taken dance classes at Debbie’s Dance Studio. We started as a very small studio, but have grown to become the most established studio in the Decatur/Monticello Area.
It’s our instructors that make us unique. Our instructors have been trained in Los Angeles and attend frequent dance conventions and seminars to stay up-to-date on current techniques and dance styles. In a fun, energetic and positive environment students develop a joy of movement through dance, a sense of rhythm, improved coordination and posture, and learn an active way to express creativity.
As a parent we realize you have a choice between several different dance studios. All schools are not the same. We provide ongoing training to our staff to ensure we are always providing our students and parents with the best experience possible.
Today, as in 1978, there are several different studios to choose from. We invite you to compare all of the features and options to see why our school has been chosen more than any other dance school in the Decatur and Monticello area.
I am extremely grateful to all of you for helping to make this recital a success! I have enjoyed watching your children develop their technique and grow into wonderful performers. We will be participating in the Decatur Celebration parade on Saturday, August 7, 2010. The parade begins at 10:00 AM. Please meet at the Ameren IP parking lot and look for our semi with the Alice in Wonderland birthday cake. Dancers need to arrive by 9:30 and riders by 9:40 AM.
Riders are those ages 2-8 years old. You will need to wear your purple DDS recital t-shirt and denim shorts or skort.
Little Alice dancers (BTA) wear your blue Alice costume with black headband, white anklet socks and black maryjane shoes.
Street dancers wear your purple DDS recital t-shirt with shorts and tennis shoes.
Dancing performances will be on Saturday, August 7th from 3:00 - 4:00 PM at North and Franklin St..
Arrive by 2:40 in your first costume.
Dressing area is in the mezanine of the Decatur Civic Center.
Sunday, August 8th there will be a surprise performance at 6:30 P.M. in front of the Fun Fest stage.
Meet at the Civic Center at 5:00 for a final practice!

Unbirthday party (CRM) 6:15 - 6:45
Little Alice's and Mad Hatter (BTA) 6:45 - 7:30
* Tuesday July 20th, July 27th and August 3rd
Cally's tap girls 4:00 - 5:30
Intermediate prarade routine practice 5:30 - 6:30
All other intermediate practices 6:30 - 8:00
* Wednesday July 21st, 28th and August 4th
Advanced girl's parade practice (opening) and all other dances 5:30 - 8:00
* Thursday July 22nd, July 29th and August 5th
Cally's tap girls 4:00 - 5:30 (not practicing on the 22nd)
